Hyundai Trims: The Calligraphy Model

Hyundai makes some of the best SUVs currently on the market. If you’re looking to get a new SUV, you’ve likely come across some popular Hyundai models and now wish to learn a little more about them. As you’re exploring Hyundai vehicles, you may come across a trim level known as the Calligraphy. Below, we’ll explain what this trim level is and how it compares to the other trim options for the models that offer it.

The Calligraphy trim is the most premium trim available for two Hyundai vehicles, the Hyundai Palisade and the Hyundai Santa Fe. Within this trim level, you’ll find the best that each model has to offer.

Comfort and Entertainment

The 2022 Hyundai Palisade is a three-row SUV that comes with a lot of luxury features, especially when you choose the Calligraphy trim level. Up until the release of the Calligraphy trim, the highest trim level for the Palisade was the Limited edition. In this new trim level, you get all of the features that came with the Limited trim along with a few more.

In terms of comfort and entertainment, there’s a lot to love about the Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy. Inside this model, you’ll find leather-trimmed seats, eight-way power passenger seats, a heated second row of seats, a heated steering wheel, a 10.25-inch touch screen, SiriusXM radio, USB ports located throughout the vehicle, a wireless device charging pad, and much more. In addition, some items exclusive to this trim include a microfiber suede headliner, a perforated leather steering wheel, and a cargo sill protection plate.

Exterior and Safety Features

The upgrades to the Hyundai Palisade in the Calligraphy trim go beyond the interior comforts. For starters, with this trim level, you get 20-inch wheels, a new rear lighting signature, a unique triangle-pattern grille, and Hyundai’s HTRAC all-wheel-drive system. While the upgrades to the Calligraphy trim are definitely more apparent on the inside, the exterior changes are undoubtedly noticeable.

The Calligraphy trim has all of the options available in the other trim levels in terms of safety features. Standard features include a blind-spot collision-avoidance system, a rear cross-traffic alert system, parking distance warnings, an ultrasonic rear occupant alert, intelligent cruise control, trailer sway control, and vehicle stability management. While some of these features are only optional add-ons for other trim levels, they all come standard with the Calligraphy trim. So, if you want an SUV that comes packed with all the best safety features currently available, the Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy is a great option to consider.

Comfort and Entertainment

After first becoming available for the Hyundai Palisade, the Calligraphy trim level is now available with the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe as well, and it adds several luxury touches. This is most obvious with the interior, which now has a range of stylish upgrades. To start, there are now leather-trimmed seats that come with Nappa leather stitching. In addition, you’ll notice a slight change in the buttons on the steering wheel, which now come in a more premium brushed metal rather than plastic.

Another exclusive for the Calligraphy trim is the micro-fiber suede headliner, which gives the interior a softer feel along the roof. The last major exclusive for the Calligraphy is the heads-up display, which projects important information, such as vehicle speed, onto the windshield so that you don’t need to take your eyes off the road to see it.

As for entertainment features, you’ll find the same options as you would in the Limited trim level. This includes a large infotainment display, an excellent audio system, and the ability to easily connect your Apple and Android devices.

Exterior and Safety

A noticeable change from the Limited trim to the Calligraphy trim is a more polished grille with a triangular pattern. In addition, the painting style is a little different from the Calligraphy, where the entire vehicle is one color, as it does not have the black plastic guards found on the Limited trim.

The safety features for the Calligraphy trim are the same as the Limited trim. Some of the available features include:

  • Tire pressure monitoring system.
  • Blind-spot collision-avoidance assist.
  • Rear cross-traffic alert.
  • Ultrasonic rear occupant alert.
  • Driver attention warning.
  • Surround-view monitor.
