2024 Hyundai Santa Fe: Interior & Exterior Specs, Price, Trims

Popular for more than 20 years, the SANTA FE has long been the vehicle of choice for those interested in a Hyundai SUV. Now in its fifth generation, the SANTA FE delivers spacious comfort with many new features. Much brainstorming and innovation went into the latest 2024 Hyundai SANTA FE. If you’re looking for a family vehicle built for adventure and outdoor experience from bumper to bumper, this SUV is for you.

A Luxurious Interior

Sliding into the 2024 Hyundai SANTA FE is an undeniably luxurious experience. The cockpit puts you in complete control with a wealth of powerful features, including some industry firsts, such as UV sterilization, which may leave you wondering where this vehicle has been all your life. If you enjoyed the comforts of the SANTA FE in the past, the 2024 model is sure to blow you away.

Comfortable Seating

The US model now offers three rows with only two available. This provides seating for up to seven passengers, so you can bring everyone along in comfort and style. The thoughtful bilateral multi-console between the driver and front passenger’s seats is uniquely positioned to make the console storage accessible to individuals in both the front and second rows, offering a new level of flexibility regarding storage.

You’ll have six seats if you opt for second-row captain’s chairs. In this configuration, the second row can offer power-reclining seats with convenient armrests or fold-and-dive seating with added comfort as a cushion-angle adjustment.

The second row offers 42.3 inches of legroom, and the third offers 30 inches. The hybrid model is slightly smaller, offering 41.5 inches in the second row. The third row provides 37.7 inches of headroom, and the rear seating reclines up to 10 degrees, lest you worry that the back of the vehicle offers the least desirable spot.

An Inspiring Liftgate

A hands-free smart liftgate makes it easy to access the vehicle’s rear, where you’ll find a spacious area that Hyundai calls a “terrace.” The wide tailgate opening is larger than in previous years, offering an incredibly spacious feel that is perfect for perching to take in the view.

Innovative Technology

The SANTA FE dashboard continues to implement subtle “H” shapes throughout. A 6.6-inch touch panel sits between the HVAC controls on the center console. This divider houses conveniences such as a dual wireless charger neatly set within an indent of the console. A stunning 12.3-inch integrated dual-screen display takes center stage on the dash. This panoramic curved screen has a gauge cluster on one side and the infotainment system on the other.

Dedicated to cutting-edge comforts and conveniences, the 2024 Hyundai SANTA FE features a UV-C sterilization multi-tray atop the glovebox. Slide small items such as your wallet or smartphone into this futuristic compartment to sterilize it with UV light, killing bacteria.

The Hyundai SANTA FE promises to feature an enhanced Driver Monitoring System that tracks the driver’s vital signs to detect hazardous changes. Though Hyundai hasn’t provided details yet on how this will work, it’s a fascinating concept to watch.

A Revamped Exterior

The 2024 SANTA FE bears almost no resemblance to its predecessors. Gone are the smooth lines of the past, replaced with a distinctly boxy appearance that Hyundai describes as “tastefully aggressive.” You can’t miss this SUV on the streets. Hyundai ensures you’ll know who’s behind this design feat, with ample use of the letter “H” throughout the styling.

Bold Shapes

Hyundai’s creative “H” branding is apparent throughout the 2024 SANTA FE. This includes the somewhat pixelated look of the H-shaped headlights and taillights. The high hood and LED daytime running lights ensure you’ll never miss these stylistic details, day or night. The new SANTA FE also features several head-turning stylistic elements, such as the sharp angles around the wheel wells that might remind you of Minecraft or similar designs. This is the ideal choice if you want a new Hyundai vehicle that simply can’t be mistaken for any other.

Increased Size

This SANTA FE is slightly larger than the previous model year, adding 1.8 inches to the length and 1.9 inches to the distance between axles. With available 21-inch alloy wheels, this SUV sits higher than models from previous years, when 20-inch wheels were the largest option. Altogether, this design is impossible to miss no matter where you go.

Incredible Efficiency Potential

The 2024 SANTA FE features two powertrain options. The 2.5-liter turbocharged engine pairs with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and either front—or all-wheel drive, delivering 277 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque. You can also opt for the turbo 1.6-liter hybrid engine with a six-speed automatic transmission, which provides 226 hp combined.

We don’t yet know the 2024 SANTA FE fuel-economy ratings. Still, the 2023 Hyundai SANTA FE, equipped with a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, offers an EPA-estimated 22 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. In addition to being efficient, the new SANTA FE promises ample control behind the wheel. The reveal video for the 2024 SANTA FE highlights HTRAC all-wheel drive that offers optimized handling, cornering, and traction so you can handle everything from slick rainy days to tricky layers of snow without batting an eye.
